- 1. What are some of these “ways of the world”? Based on that, what are some of the struggles that you face where you are made to choose between your commitment to worship God versus the world’s influence to worship worldly things, or even the worship of yourself?
- 2. Paul suggests that in order to not conform to the ways of the world, we are to be transformed by the renewing of our mind so as to know what God’s will is. What is one specific way you will “renew your mind” in order to exercise faith in your particular struggle, just as Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego did, in order to witness God’s deliverance?
- 3. As Christians, our witness and testimonies of faith do not only affect our personal spiritual journey. When Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego witnessed God’s deliverance in their trial, Nebuchadnezzar, as well as those in the kingdom, witnessed the might and sovereignty of our one true God. Who around you might God be proclaiming His glory and sovereignty to, through your personal trials?
