Brighton Light A Hope Fund

Brighton Light A Hope Fund is a special $500,000 package to bless needy individuals and organisations during this time when public health, livelihoods, and the general well-being of our society are shaken by the COVID-19 crisis. The Light A Hope Fund seeks to provide financial assistance and goodwill donations to three groups of beneficiaries.

1. If I am not a registered member of Brighton Community Church, can I apply for the fund in Cat #1?
- Yes, you can apply even if you are not a registered member of Brighton Community Church. You need your cell group leader or a registered member of Brighton Community Church to recommend you.
2. Who will be approving the application?
- The “Light A Hope” fund committee.
3. How will I know the result of my application?
- Successful applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application in writing via email or by phone.
4. Will my information be kept confidential?
- Yes. You can be assured that Brighton Community Church and the committee will keep the information private and confidential. See our Privacy Policy.
5. If I am currently already receiving some financial help from ComCare, SSO etc, can I still apply for this fund under Cat #1?
- Yes if you meet the selection criteria.
6. Can I apply for Cat #1 if I am a foreigner?
- Yes, you can apply as long as you meet the selection criteria.
7. Can I apply if my pay-cut is less than 30% ?
- Yes, you can apply. Your application will be reviewed on case-by-case basis.
8. Can I apply under Cat #1 if I have not been working for the past one year or longer ?
- Yes, you can apply. Your application will be reviewed on case-by-case basis.
