The problem is that if we do away with the notion of God, we would also have to abandon the things that we value and cherish most in life. In other words, right and wrong matter greatly. What we need to appreciate is that they cannot possibly exist without God. Let’s find out why together in this message.
1. Where do you think people get their sense of right and wrong from? Why is it not possible to have true morality without God?
2. Share about a time when you were upset because you felt unjustly treated. What does our demand for justice tell us about right and wrong?
3. What were the Pharisee and tax collector in Jesus’ parable both looking for? What were their difference approaches in seeking it? In what ways have you made the same mistake as the Pharisee?
