In this series, we have discovered that true Christianity is attractive because it gives us a secure hope to weather trials and a supernatural ability to overcome our sin. As we conclude this series, we are going to find out how Christianity is attractive to observers when Christians practise the real thing, in the message entitled “Worthless Religion”.

- 1. How do you feel when you experience trials in life? How does being a Christian enable you to view trials in a manner which will enable you to not just endure but to rejoice as you go through them?
- 2. What gives you a sense of significance and security? How does Christianity enable you to feel significant and secure despite changing personal circumstances?
- 3. Is there something greater beyond this earthly existence that enables you to see past your trials? How does Christianity give you hope for a greater future that enables you to rejoice in the face of trials now?

- 1. Why is it so difficult for us to overcome the things that sabotage our life? What are some things which you can identify that are potentially disruptive or currently disrupting your life?
- 2. What does God give us so that we can be victorious in our life? How does that motivate you to want to break free from the things mentioned in Question 1?
- 3. What will you do to overcome the things mentioned in Question 1? How can your cell group provide support or how will you create support through an accountability structure in your life?

- 1. Think about the conversations you had with people this week. What kind of impressions do you think they leave behind with people? How will you change the way you talk to better reflect your faith in Christ?
- 2. When was the last time you did something to help the poor and needy, and why did you do it? How would you intentionally make this a part of your life to reflect your faith in Christ?
- 3. As Christians, what does it mean to be “not of the world” and to be “sent into the world”? How does your faith in Christ shape your values, and how does it determine the way you engage with the people around you (E.g. at work, at home, in church, etc)?
